This may be an awkward topic to start Jazz’s blog with but it’s the most recent thing Jazz had to face and inspired Jazz to write. Has jazz noticed that when Jazz wants to offer condolences to any other Jazz that has lost a special Jazz, Jazz usually say “البقيه في حياتك” ?? (Jazz was listening to a soft flute music CD that suddenly broke to the fact). Roughly translated, that means that Jazz hopes that the remainder of “deceased” Jazz’s life sums up to the “living” Jazz’s life account and therefore, can live it instead. Ha????
That is the weirdest thing Jazz can say but Jazz has heard it over and over again during the years that it became so normal and ordinary while in fact it is the absolute contrary. Life isn’t a commodity or an item. Life can’t be inherited by the next of kin or the direct heir. It’s not that sort of thing. Adding it up or moving it from an account to another as if it were coins isn’t comforting either. To jazz, this relates –in a weird way- to organ donation only when jazz the donor is dead and directly related to jazz the taker who is very much alive. Jazz may not love this comparison but Jazz shares everything.
Jazz thinks that What jazz should be saying instead is “البقاء لله “ "الله يجغل مثواه الجنه" "الله يصبركم" meaning, durability is for Allah alone, Jazz hopes Allah gives Jazz strength and patience to overcome Jazz’s loss and Allah guide “deceased” Jazz’s soul into the heavens. Phew! A lot better! Makes sense too! (flute music continues…)
Jazz believes that no Jazz dies too soon or too late. Jazz believes when a Jazz dies is when it was destined for this Jazz to die. It all has a purpose that might sadden Jazz at times and might seem unexplainable but Jazz should always be patient and not always try to explain why Jazz had to go through an awful experience. It is tough but Jazz will be tougher accepting and praying for patience.
Sincerely Yours,
Jazz
